We were delighted to partner with NatWest Accelerator for our first joint event, thanks to the leadership and vision of Sonya Holley, of GEDU, who initiated and led this exciting partnership between GBS and NatWest.

Ten student entrepreneurs from a diverse range of businesses took part in the event, gaining valuable opportunities to pitch their ventures, build confidence, expand their networks and connect with NatWest's thriving community of entrepreneurs.

Sonya Holley led a panel discussion where several students shared their entrepreneurial journeys, business ideas and future aspirations, demonstrating the innovation, resilience and ambition that characterise our student community. The event created opportunities for collaboration, new partnerships and meaningful business connections, with students engaging directly with fellow founders and industry professionals.

Mike Edwards, NatWest Accelerator, said: "I really enjoyed hearing the students' stories and learning about the different stages of their entrepreneurial journeys. Every founder starts from a different place and follows their own unique path. It was inspiring to see the passion, determination and potential within this group, and we're excited to support them as they continue to grow their businesses."

Claire Aydogan, Director of Graduate Employment and Entrepreneurship at GBS, said: "At GBS, we pride ourselves on supporting students to transform ideas into realities. Opportunities such as our partnership with NatWest Accelerator provide aspiring entrepreneurs with invaluable exposure to experienced business leaders, networks and resources that can help accelerate their growth. We are particularly proud of the progress our students have made, supported by our in-house Enterprise Advisor, Mark Crabtree, who has worked closely with many of them to develop their ideas, strengthen their business propositions and build the confidence needed to take their ventures forward."

The event reflects GBS's commitment to developing entrepreneurial talent and creating opportunities that enable students to build the skills, networks and confidence needed to succeed in business. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with NatWest Accelerator and providing even more opportunities for our student entrepreneurs to thrive.
